Common Questions

What type of cream should I use?

For best results, use pure heavy cream with no additives whenever possible. Cream fat content should be 35% or higher.

Should the cream be cold or at room temperature?

For best results, let the cream sit at room temperature before churning. Room-temperature cream usually churns more smoothly and helps butter form faster.

How long does it take to make butter?

In most cases, pure high-fat cream at room temperature may turn into butter in about 3–5 minutes. Actual churning time may vary depending on cream temperature, fat content, and ingredients.

Can I open the lid during churning?

Yes. If you are new to butter making and are not sure whether butter has formed, you may open the lid occasionally to check the progress.

Why is my cream taking longer to turn into butter?

Cold cream may take longer to churn and could increase the risk of motor overload. Cream with too many additives may also take much longer to churn or may fail to form butter.

What should I do after butter forms?

After butter forms, rinse it with cold water to remove excess buttermilk. You may then shape the butter as desired.

Which parts are dishwasher safe?

The glass jar and lid + paddle assembly are dishwasher safe.

Can I wash the motor unit?

No. The motor unit is not washable. Please wipe it gently with a damp cloth only.

What should I do if my product arrives damaged or has an issue?

Please contact us at info@ifolokitchen.com with your order number and photos or videos of the issue. We’ll help you as soon as possible.
